The Light of our Mothers
Emora takes its name from the Hebrew words אמא (Ema), mother, and אור (Or), light.
Together, they represent the light of our mothers, inspired by the matriarchs of the Torah and the matriarchs in our own lives. The women whose strength, wisdom, faith, and stories continue to shape who we are.

The Founders Behind Emora
Two paths. One shared vision.
Madeleine and Shimmy met through a business program, long before Emora existed. In the years that followed, they built careers in different creative worlds, developing distinct perspectives on design, craftsmanship, business, and storytelling.
Emora came from bringing those worlds together: Madeleine’s creative direction and eye for meaningful design, paired with Shimmy’s expertise in fine jewelry and craftsmanship.
Together, they set out to create something that felt both new and deeply rooted: fine jewelry designed with intention, made to carry stories forward.
